About Lokk Head
I am Rebekah, a certified loctician and former hairdresser. I began making dreadlocks about eighteen years ago, then when I started my own lokks the spark returned. Lokk Head grew from that spark, from craft, care, and a wish to work in a way that honors my health and my art. My studio is a small sanctuary in Garden Suburb Newcastle. Candlelight, amethyst and quartz, a hint of incense, a crow feather by the mirror, quiet music that settles the room. You are welcomed into a safe circle where you are seen, heard, and never judged. I work with clean crochet only. No chemicals, no wax, only care, precision, and respect for your scalp and hair. Every appointment begins with intention, a calm breath, and a plan that suits your hair and your life. Services include starter lokks, gentle maintenance, careful repairs and surgery, permanent human hair extensions blended to match, and custom decorative wraps and charms. I work with precision and intention so your lokks feel secure, light, and comfortable. In late December 2024 I completed my formal loctician qualification. I pair that training with years of hands on practice and a steady hand. The aim is simple, lokks that look beautiful on day one and settle into shape with grace.
