About Lokk Head
I’m Rebekah, a certified loctician and former hairdresser. My dreadlock journey began when I was seventeen, creating twist and seal synthetic dreadlocks. About five years ago I turned my focus to natural crochet dreadlocks, and that’s when everything truly clicked.
Lokk Head was born from both passion and healing. After being diagnosed with sarcoidosis, I wanted to create a way of working that supported my health and allowed me to pour my energy into something meaningful. This space became that a small, calm sanctuary where creativity and care meet.
My studio in Garden Suburb Newcastle is filled with soft light, crystals, and quiet music that helps the mind settle. Each appointment begins with intention and care. I use a crochet hook technique only with no wax, no chemicals, to create clean, healthy, and long-lasting lokks.
Services include starter lokks, maintenance, repairs, extensions, and custom wraps or charms. Every set is made to feel light, comfortable, and beautifully yours.
I completed my formal loctician qualification in December 2024, combining that training with years of hands-on experience and a steady, patient approach. My goal is simple: healthy dreadlocks that feel natural, settle gracefully, and reflect who you are.
